With it's close proximity to Perth,I am concerned that when St Andrews is fully developed, it will have the effect of becoming just another Perth suburb. The end result, of course, being that Perth will have become an even larger city, exacerbating the already serious problems of crime and pollution. Why can't Governments and Developers open up this vast continent of Australia, instead of creating gigantic cities? We have an enormous coastal strip and people could still realise their preference of living close to the sea, without, in turn, creating these undesirable problems.
